From The Chair
Well what a fantastic year we had again last year.
The momentum generated during the centenary
year in 2008 was maintained with many
wonderful parade entries and hundreds of people
turning out along the parade route to support.
Our Carnival Court have been wonderful
ambassadors for our town travelling to many
other carnivals - well done girls!
The 2012 theme for the Carnival Parade is 'The Olympics - past, presents and future' we hope this will encourage lots of entries as the Country starts to prepare for the London Olympics 2012.
I would like to thank the organising committee for their hard work and to each of you for your invaluable support.
In these uncertain times we re not sure what support we will be receiving from Wellingborough Council in 2012 so we hope that local businesses will step up to the mark to help the Carnival in these times of financial insecurity.
We are proud of our town and we hope you are proud of your Carnival!
Happy Carnival and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday 7th July 2012.

Wellingborough Carnival 2011/12

The float was purchased with monies from Empowering Councillors & Communities Scheme - Northamptonshire County Council and The Borough Council of Wellingborough.

We are again looking for your support to join in our carnival parade and for the streets to be filled with well-wishers supporting those who have gone to so much trouble in building floats and making costumes.
See you all on Carnival Day Saturday 2nd July and at Party in the Park on Sunday 3rd July - Wellingborough's only live music event.
